GUEST POST - BREAKFAST AT FAYME'S

Hi there, I’m the girl behind “Breakfast at Fayme’s” and I’m so stoked that I could write a guest post for Tereza from “Drastic Plastic”. On my personal blog I share fashion, travels, baking and all other stuff creative. About my personal style, I like to mix styles, mix contrasting colors, masculine toughness with a hint of feminine sweetness, and I am definitely a budget shopper {who once in a while likes to splurge on bags, shoes, etc…}.

I believe that you can personalize any outfit with your accessories, shoes and bag. Here I am wearing a basic top and leather skirt from H&M. H&M is one of those “perfect for basics” stores, which once in a while has awesome statement pieces. Sprucing up my outfit with a chunky necklace {made by me}, a colorful scarf {pimkie} and purse {BCBG}. For more outfit posts, DIY jewelry, recipes and other inspiration please stop by my website.

I hope you enjoyed my guest post :).

GUEST POST - MOMOGRAPHICA

It's Monday and I have a something really cool for you - a guest post by one of my sponsors Barbara from Momograhica. Enjoy cuz she is really a talented artisit and her writing is really cool!

Hello friends,
I was offered to borrow a bit of space as a guest writer on the always dynamic Drastic Plastic and here I am, with mug of hot milk on my left and a never-ending list of notes on how I should introduce myself here properly. I am nervous and I am very sure I am going to fail to be interesting. Be brave.
I am Barbara, an Italy-based graphic designer, photographer and blogger that sometimes works as curator for Art and Design events. Few months ago I decided to take the gamble and open my own atelier, which I called Momographica. It specializes in still life and fine art photography, with the addition of some conceptual and fantasy portrait.
I build my creativity trough everyday experiences, looking deeply into details and stories. My approach to life is a deep admiration for everything around me, the places I visit, the books I read, the things I learn while getting connected to other people. I often visit vintage markets and museums to find inspiration. Everything can be inspiring, from every little detail a  unique story is born.
My piece of advice for the day is: be creative. Be honest. Be curious. Be communicative. Be an adult but at the same time take care of your inner child. Don't ever give up. Work hard and don't be impatient to reach results. Patience is a virtue that is twin soul with a successful life.

GUEST POST - DESIGN SHUFFLE by SUSI

Hi, everyone, I'm Susi and I write as a guest blogger for DesignShuffle.com, a popular social media site that promotes interior designers and their work from around the world. My writing focuses on things I'm passionate about: interior design, decorating ideas, home furnishings, gardening, travel and art. I get to look at gorgeous things all day and write about them. I'm a very lucky girl!

I am excited to be visiting Drastic Plastic today to talk about contrast as a fun design element. Contrast can include color, texture, style... as long as there is some opposition, you'll have contrast. Here are 8 rooms where contrast is used as a design element. Thanks for letting me and Design Shuffle visit! Hope you enjoy!

Black and white create a strong contrast in this neo-traditional living room. Love the black sides and tan seat on the wingback chair. The cowhide rug adds more black and white contrast to the room.

Black walls and white accents flip the black and white concept from the room above. Yellow candlesticks provide a nice contrast to both the black and white.

Gray and yellow are a great pair of contrasting colors. The dark, moody gray offsets and balances the sunny, bright yellow to create a sophisticated palette.

White with bold pops of color is a crisp look full of contrast. Love the bold orange stripes on the high headboards and the corresponding orange cross in the artwork.

White grout used with black tile creates a high contrast look in the kitchen. The white grout acts almost like piping on furniture. Love the marble floor too. Oh, so many kitchen design ideas here!

A Mallorca, Spain cottage bathroom shows off contrasting styles and textures. Contemporary meets farmhouse in this bathroom. Rough stone farmhouse walls contrast against sleek contemporary faucets and sinks.

A sleek Parsons table contrasts in style with the French dining chairs and traditional blue and white porcelain ginger jar. This eclectic mix is pulled together in a crisp blue and white palette.

In a contrast of interior design styles, a traditional room with herringbone wood floors and crown molding contrasts with the modern furnishings and contemporary wall paint to create an eclectic, chic room. Love the navy and pink on the walls.
